François ABALLÉA 

Acoustician - Phd in acoustics - former EPFL scientist

François ABALLÉA graduated as a senior technician in acoustics and vibrations from the University of Maine in 1998 and received a PhD in acoustics from the University of Maine in 2004. He began his professional career in the "environmental acoustics" department of the Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment (CSTB). He collaborates with Commissariat de l’Energie Atomique (CEA) and then joins the Electromagnetism and Acoustics Laboratory (LEMA) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2006 before participating in the creation of AER sàrl.

 

Philippe MARTIN  

Acoustician - Master's degree in electrical eng. EPFL and mechanical eng. HES/ETS

Philippe Martin holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the HES/ETS (1994) and began his career as a design engineer in the machine industry. After a few years, he continued his training and obtained the EPF Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2005). During this period, and until 2008, he practiced acoustics at the Laboratory of Electromagnetism and Acoustics of EPFL, then participated in the creation of AER sàrl. At the same time, he practices music in different jazz bands, then mixes art and technology in projects ranging from electronic music to sound design, sound installation design and electro-acoustic improvisation.
